Allegro & eXPD8: 1 Year On

Allegro and eXPD8 have now been working together in all things fulfillment since April 2018. Now after the annual review, its time to reflect on how people, process and technology has been symbiotic in making the transition as seamless as possible for both parties.

How have Allegro built such a strong collaborative relationship since the move a year ago?

Having one dedicated Allegro account manager for eXPD8 was the starting point so that there was one point of contact that the teams could all go to for any of their warehousing and POS distribution needs. As well as simplifying the supplier management structure, this allowed Allegro to provide a high level of customer service and product knowledge to eXPD8.

Holding regular meetings at eXPD8 Central Office has not only resulted in both parties working together collaboratively but has also allowed both parties to discuss upcoming activity and fulfillment needs face to face making sure everyone is on the same page.

What processes are in place to ensure we collaboratively deliver service excellence first time every time?

 eXPD8 and Allegro have worked together to implement a robust process map that is adhered to for every activity. To ensure the teams were fully trained on these processes and the warehouse management system, both internal and external training sessions were provided by both Allegro and eXPD8 teams.

Since the move a year ago, 170 Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs) have been created and 22,302 POS deliveries have been sent out from the Allegro warehouse on behalf of a variety of eXPD8’s clients.

How did eXPD8 & Allegro streamline their systems and technology?

Everyone at eXPD8 that liaises with Allegro have their own log ins to access our Mintsoft warehouse management system which dispatches and updates inventory in real time enabling users to directly access delivery information.

Mailing list software at eXPD8 Central Office has been made compatible with Allegro so the teams can instantly upload new orders onto the system. Having direct access to the system means that PODs (proof of deliveries) are available online instantaneously for both users making it easier to be loaded to the merchandisers’ tablets at eXPD8 Central Office.
