Our response

  • Given Dunkirk’s status as one of the biggest films of the year and the most significant release to ever launch 1 week before Christmas, we started planning 3 months in advance
  • As we got closer to the big date, regular conference calls between CO and the field ensured everyone was up to date with the ever changing implementation plan
  • Talk up visits and POS delivery checks were completed in around 2,398 stores prior to launch at no extra cost by including the activity in Game of Thrones Season 7 Launch and Replen calls. Merchandisers shared product trailers for the launch with staff and agreed the set-up of key POS ahead of launch day. This increase in awareness and preparation contributed to a fantastic overall launch compliance of 96%
  • eXPD8 were able to complete 60% of all launch calls by 9am on Monday 18th December by utilising a new method of store prioritisation and merchandiser incentives that rewarded our team for completing multiple calls pre-9am
  • Merchandisers walked in a Bumper Unit in Asda resulting in 94% compliance during an extremely busy week where shop floor space was at a premium
  • eXPD8 sustained and monitored the longevity of all Dunkirk space across 4 waves of replenishment, achieving additional conversions and reviewing store retention of the significant volume of off-shelf units. Dunkirk continues to be replenished through regular inclusion as a ‘key priority title’ on client calls
